Reviews and Ratings
I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The rooms were even better than what you would expect from Marriott Vacation clubs, with a fridge and coffee machine provided. The front office staff was excellent - professional, helpful, and friendly, always going out of their way to assist. The location is superb, being right in the center of everything and within easy walking distance to many popular attractions. The dining experience was extraordinary, with extraordinary dishes offered in the bar/lounge. Overall, a great value for money with top-notch service and amenities.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were very small, even by NYC standards, and the bathroom setup with a sliding door was inconvenient. However, we did have a great view of the Empire State Building from the rooftop bar. The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to access the subway. The dining experience was particularly great, especially in the bar/lounge area, but the room size and bathroom layout were disappointing.
The hotel is situated perfectly between Penn Station and Times Square on a relatively quiet street, offering a great base for exploring the city. The rooms are small but efficiently designed and beautifully finished, providing a cozy retreat. The service is outstanding, especially with the helpful and knowledgeable concierge. The dining options may be overpriced and limited, but the overall value for money is decent given the prime NYC location.
The hotel's rooms are about the size of what you would get on a cruise ship, so it's not exactly a vacation club level, just be aware. However, they are quiet, which is pretty unusual for New York, though they may be too small for 2 people, as was the bathroom.
My stay at The Strand was great overall. The rooms were a bit smaller than what I expected, especially coming from another Marriott in the city, but still comfortable. The service was exceptional, making this hotel the perfect choice for us. The location was convenient for exploring midtown attractions and the subway. The dining experience was satisfactory, with fresh food, although it was slightly overpriced. The facilities were well-maintained, and the staff even offered a discount due to some noise issues, showing their attentiveness.
I had a lovely stay at this hotel! The view of the Empire State Building was breathtaking, and the quiet street meant peaceful nights. However, the room was on the smaller side, unless you opt for an upgrade. The service was excellent and efficient, with each staff member being very nice. The location couldn't have been better, surrounded by iconic spots in Manhattan. Unfortunately, the dining options were a bit lacking, but the facilities were top-notch.
I had a great stay at the hotel! The rooms were tiny but surprisingly well planned with all the amenities I needed, which was a pleasant surprise for a Marriott Vacation Club. The service was top-notch, especially with Justin being so helpful when the rooftop was closed. The location was fabulous, close to everything we wanted to see and do. The dining options were delicious and a good value for money.
